| Effect of Ultrasonication Treatment on Blast Furnace Circulating Water |

Abstract In order to probe anticlogging effect of ultrasonication for circulation water of blast furnace, the effect of ultrasonic frequency, powder and velocity of circulating water on Ca2+ concentration was investigated using the orthogonal method. The results show that the primary factor is ultrasonic frequency; the secondary factor is velocity of circulating water and the last one is ultrasonic powder. Under the condition of ultrasonic frequency of 30kHz, velocity of circulating water of 0.6m/s and ultrasonic power of 400W, the best anticlogging effect can be obtained (the contact area between energy converter and circulating water pipe is 100W/cm2). For example, the Ca2+ concentration can reach 84.2mg/L after 8 hours. The regression function of electric conductivity to time under ultrasonication is obtained. The energy consumption is 3.571kW·h in 8 hours test and the efficiency is 89.6%.
