Influence of Hydrogen Content of Bosh Gas on Softening-Melting Property of Iron-Bearing Burden Material |

Abstract The influence of hydrogen content of bosh gas on the softening-melting property of iron-bearing burden material was studied in the laboratory. The results show that the softening start temperature first increases and then decreases, softening finish temperature increases, softening range first widens and then narrows, melting start temperature and dripping temperature increase, melting range narrows and the burden permeability is improved. So it is beneficial to blast furnace process to increase the hydrogen content in the bosh gas.
