Effect of Coiling Temperatures on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of DQ&P Steel |

Abstract After hot rolling, the tested steel was firstly cooled to different temperatures ranging from Ms temperature to Mf temperature using ultra fast cooling system, and then cooled room temperature using furnace cooling. The influence of coiling temperature on microstructure and mechanical properties of DQ&P steel was investigated. The results show that the volume fraction of ferrite is slightly increased and the volume fraction of retained austenite is increased from 5.9% to 12.1% as the coiling temperature is increased from 200℃ to 360℃. The volume fraction of retained austenite for the coiling temperature of 200℃ remains unchanged after tensile deformation, however, the volume fraction of retained austenite for the coiling temperature of 360℃ is lowered to 8.5% after tensile deformation. The better mechanical properties with the elongation of 23.9%, product of strength and elongation of 20GPa·% and lower yield ratio of 0.79 can be gained at the coiling temperature of 360℃.
