Hot deformation behavior of nuclear island steel P280GH |

Abstract The hot deformation behavior of a kind of nuclear island steel P280GH has been investigated through uniaxial compression on Gleeble-3500 thermal-mechanical simulator within the temperature range of 800-1 100 ℃, and the strain rate range of 0.01-10 s-1.The corresponding flow curves and microstructures have been determined and analyzed, respectively. The apparent activation energy was obtained, which can be used to explain the reason why the steel present was not suitable for recrystallization rolling. Furthermore, the constitutive equation was eatablished, which provides theoretical basis for the researches of rolling process optimization and properties control.
