Correlationship between strength index, reactivity and reflectance of coke |

Abstract The mean maximum reflectance[Rmax]and mean bireflectance[Rbi]can be measured automatically by controlling the angle of polarizer of microscope. By means of regression analysis, significant the correlationships were found between[Rmax]and coke reactivity CRI, and coke strength after reaction CSR as well. The values of[r]were -0.926 and 0.949, respectively. The correlationship between[Rmax]and coke mechanical strength[DI15015]was weak obviously, the[r]of which was only 0.704. No obvious correlationship was found between[Rbi]and any other coke property index.
