Abstract In order to study the variation law of the flue gas in the sinter wind boxes,a 400 m2 sinter was selected as the research object. The flue gas in 48 wind boxes of the sinter was detected by different flue gas analysis instruments. Variation laws of the flue gas temperature, the negative pressure, the flow velocity, the composition (including oxygen, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides) of different wind boxes were obtained. In the sintering process, the material layer was divided into six states. The states of the material layer corresponding to the different wind boxes were analyzed by combining the material layer states and the wind boxes flue gas parameters. Then, the correlation between the flue gas parameters of each wind box and the material layer states and the correlation among the parameters were analyzed. The conclusions are as follows:the negative pressure of the flue gas was positively correlated with the change of the flow velocity;the trend of the temperature was consistent with the sulfur dioxide mass concentration;the change of the oxygen volume concentration was negatively correlated with the carbon monoxide and the nitrogen oxide mass concentration;the variations of carbon monoxide mass concentration and nitrogen oxide mass concentration were same;the variation of flue gas parameters of different wind boxes was related to the state of sintered material layer corresponding to the wind boxes.
