| Reduction dynamics of carbon-containing pellets of vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite |

Abstract In order to realize the efficient and rational utilization of vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite resources, the reduction process of carbon-containing pellets of vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite is analyzed, and the kinetic control equation is preliminarily established; the reduction melting process of vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite is analyzed and discussed by differential thermal analysis method, and it is considered that the reduction of vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite can be divided into four parts: oxidation of coal, direct reduction of vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite, direct reduction of carbon gasification reaction and end of reduction. Taking Panzhihua vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite as the raw material and coal as the reducing agent, the effects of reaction time and temperature on the reduction degree of carbon-containing pellets were investigated. It was determined that the diffusion in the solid product layer is the controlling link of the direct reduction reaction of vanadium titanomagnetite carbon-bearing pellets, and the apparent activation energy is 112.13 kJ/mol.
