AbstractThe effect of calcium chloride on high- temperature assimilation process of comprehensive burden in BF was studied with the experiment which simulated the burden gas- solid reaction in BF. After sorting and taking pictures, the quality of iron ore and coke was measured, and the microstructures of the samples were analyzed by scanning electron microscope. The results show that iron ores soften and melt in the high temperature region (>1000) with the rise of temperature. The calcium chloride has little effect on weight loss rate of iron ore. The weight loss rate and the change rules of iron ore are almost same as that without spraying calcium chloride. In the high temperature region, the weight loss rate of coke which is treated by spraying calcium chloride increases with the rise of temperature. When the temperature is 1000, the weight loss rate of coke is about 8.3%. When the temperature is 1500, the weight loss rate of coke is about 24.4%. With the rise of reaction temperature, the porosity and the intensity of coke decrease.
