Abstract:Influence of MgO, Li2O on fluoride-free premelted continuous casting mold fluxes melting temperature were studied by experiments. Melting temperature was measured. The results show that under the conditions of experimental powders , w(MgO) from 7.5% to 9%, w(Li2O) from 1.2% to 2% can be made with better and feasible melting temperature. Most of molten casting flux was transparent glass-like state, which showed that the fluxes have a good glass state, and could provide good lubrication.
