Abstract:In order to improve the steel production efficiency and shorten the production cycle in Shougang Jingtang Iron and Steel Co. Ltd, the mould cooling water, second cooling water, submerged entry nozzle structure and the slag composition were optimized based on the existing caster parameters. The maximum casting speed of No.3 slab caster reached 2.5 m/min, exceeding the design value of 2.3 m/min. Industrial production practice shows that inclusions in slab surface decreases with the decreasing tapping temperature of converter, thus slab quality is improved, which shows the process advantage of the new generation of iron and steel.
