Abstract：The macro-etched samples of bloom were analyzed， which showed the ratio of the central equiaxed crystal was 14%， and central cracks above 1.5 degree occupy 50% accompanied with the center cavity. These defects lead to disqualification of ultrasonic flaw detection . By using weak secondary cooling and adjusting the distribution ratio of each zone， the center equiaxed crystal ratio reached 30%， which eliminates the center cavity andthe center crack less than 0.5 degree occurrence 100%. According to the new process parameters， the center longitudinal wave is all qualified after the RD inspection.
