Abstract:Aiming at the black strip defect on 304 stainless steel hot rolled strip, the morphology and composition of the defect were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). The results show that the black strip defect of 304 stainless steel hot rolled strip is caused by the deformation of continuous casting mold fluxes after rolling. In the process of continuous casting, the occurrence of black belt defect can be effectively reduced by adjusting carbon content in mold fluxes, reducing casting speed and full grinding of slab upper and lower surfaces.
