Abstract:In order to study the temperature change law of molten steel in tundish, improve the qualified rate of tundish temperature, and accurately guide the temperature adjustment operation of molten steel refining, relying on the continuous temperature measurement system of molten steel in continuous casting tundish of TISCO, the temperature change law of typical steel tundish under different process routes was studied by comparing and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of traditional manual temperature measurement and continuous temperature measurement. The results show that the continuous temperature measurement system of liquid steel in tundish has the advantages of good stability and fast response, and the accuracy rate of temperature measurement is 92%; for carbon steel, the average temperature drop rate of Q235 steel grade passing through LF process is 0.17 ℃/min, and that of Q355 steel grade passing through “LF+RH” process is only 0.05 ℃/min. For stainless steel passing trough “AOD+LF” process, the average temperature drop rate of 304 and 316 Ni-Stainless steel is 0.15 ℃/min, and that of 430 Cr-Stainless steel is 0.09 ℃/min. Continuous temperature measurement technology of liquid steel in tundish is of great significance to stabilize continuous casting production and improve slab quality.
