Study on Surface Defect Detection Method Based on Pulsed Eddy Current for Hot Continuous Casting Strand |

Abstract In order to realize surface defect monitoring on-line of hot slab, eddy current detection technology and its experiment equipment for hot slab surface defect is introduced in this paper. Aimed to solve defect reconstruction leading to the serious interference question with the magnetic components, vibration marks and iron oxide skin, the pulsed eddy current testing signals is analyzed in time domain, frequency domain and filtering and given feature extraction methods. The study methods and result lay the foundation for defect reconstruction for further studying the high temperature slab eddy current defect detection.
