Abstract Abstract:A full scale numerical model was established to calculate the fluid flow and temperature distribution in two different tundishes based on that used in a plant. By comparing the molten steel velocity and the temperature difference among different SENs, the optimal tundish design was obtained and theoretical base for continuous casting production was provided.
