Abstract In this paper the property, theory and applications of a new 3D secondary cooling model are introduced, and the computation and analysis based on the slab casting machines of tanggang is the focus.The quality of continuous-casting is improved significantly by optimizing the equipment and process parameters, and making reasonable plan.
