Abstract Taking heat transfer process of the continuous casting process of 82B produced in Shou Steel Corporation as the research object , the numerical simulation software FLUENT was applied to shougang tundish structure optimization, research on slab solidification heat transfer and the influence of slab solidification quality. Research shows that: the optimization of the tundish structure transformation, by reducing the longitudinal sidewall molten steel level in wall width, reduced volume at the ends of the tundish, so as to reduce the dead zone, optimize the flow and temperature field distribution of molten steel in tundish. Is beneficial to maintain the stability of liquid steel flow field, reduce the liquid steel to the erosion of refractory material and the content of inclusions in the molten steel inclusion control to ensure that the 82 b quality defects in the process of drawing..
