Abstract High-speed and efficient conveying of the billets cannot be achieved when erious equipment damage exists in the original discharge system. Aiming at this problem, discharge system was modified in terms of guide roller structure, cross transfer form, and so on. Production practice shows that the modified discharge system fully meets the production requirements. The correctness of the discharge system modification plan was verified. The modification of typical bloom discharge system could provide basis for modifications of other equipments in steelmaking and continuous casting field.
