Abstract: In order to master the process characteristics and application points of ferrite rolling technology, the microstructure, mechanical properties, oxide scales, precipitates and textures of hot rolled products in ferrite rolling of Ti-IF steel were investigated. Moreover, the key process technologies of ferrite rolling were discussed. The results revealed that the ferrite rolling process had the characteristics of coarser grain size, lower strength, better plasticity, thinner oxide scale,stronger γ texture and finer precipitates. However, the ferrite rolling process also easily caused some problems such as uneven microstructure and orientation, which put forward higher requirements for the cooling and lubrication rolling after coiling.
