Abstract��Surface crack has been founded on the normal rolling steel. Using scanning electron microscopy��SEM�� and optical microscopy��OM�� to observe the morphology of the crack , high-temperature oxidation products exist near the crack, after serious corrosion cracks near decarburization has been founded around the crack. The result shows that the crack of the rolling steel was caused by the surface crack of the billet.
