Abstract��12Cr1MoV is one of common steels widely used in the steam main pipeline, which possesses high creep rupture strength and plasticity, good anti��oxidation and low heating embrittlement tendency.The austenitizing temperature and holding time of 12Cr1MoV steel were adjusted to change the austenitic grain size and to model the grain evolution when the stream pipeline is under the high temperature condition. The method for displaying the grain boundary was studied systematically and successfully. Also, the grain effect on the mechanical properties of the steel was discussed.
