Abstract��Roll forming is a method of producing strip steels. Rollers are very important deformation tools in roll forming of sheet metal. Failure of roller is introduced in the paper. Laser repairing and strengthening technology for roller is also reviewed including laser cladding, laser alloying, laser melting and laser texturing.Finally, the prospect of laser hardening and repairing is discussed in this article.
