Abstract��Tailor welded blanks (TWB) is an advanced manufacturing, it can meet the different needs for properties of components. Meanwhile,it can reduce the weight and energy consumption.The tensile test of TWB with different thickness and qualities jointed by laser welding were carried out in this paper.Results show that the percentage elongation is increased when the weld line is paralleled to the tensile axis.compared with the weld line perpendicular to the tensile axis. The TWB have better elongation and deformation formability.When the weld line is paralleled to the tensile axis,the fracture is a mixed surface, combining toughness rupture with cleavage rupture, and the fracture surface is equiaxial cavities, when the weld line is perpendicular to the tensile axis.
