Abstract��Morphology and composition of non��cyanide zincation film on cast Al��Si alloy was studied by SEM, EPMA and energy spectrometer. Weight of the zincation film was measured by gain in weight method. It was shown that content of ZnSO4 has great effect on morphology of the zincation film, and Zn film tends to be uniform as zincation time increases. Zn film could cover the surface of the substrate uniformly during the second zincation for 20��30 s. Main component of the zincation film is Zn. while Fe, Ni and Cu were also found. maximum weight of the film could be attained if firstly zincated for 30 s.
