Distribution and Transformation Behavior of Retained Austenite in TRIP Steel

Abstract��By means of optical metallograph, SEM, TEM and EBSD techniques,the microstructures of CR600TRIP steel developed in production line of Angang were characterized especially in the distribution of retained austenite in steel.Further,the transformation behavior of retained austenite under stress��strain were studied in detail. It has been discovered that there is marked selectivity for the retained austenite grains in their transition sequences: the sequences are even dependent on that extension paths of stress��strain in steel and the curvature of grain��boundaries where the retained austenite grains lie in, other than their stability with increasing grain sizes.
