Abstract��In order to find out the reason of the tire cracking,the dissection analysis have been carried out. There were many hot cracks on the wheel rim surface after macro examination. Metallographic examination shows that microstructure of wheel rim surface was martensite. Crack initiation sites lay in hot crack of the wheel rim surface. It��s belong to typical fatigue fracture.So it can be concluded that hot cracks in wheel rim led to the crack of tire. Hot cracks in wheel rim is relate to its use and roadway.
