Abstract��The melting characteristics of binding phase in fluorine��bearring sinter are studied. The relationship between the melting characteristics and binding phase composition are investigated. Various basicity(w(CaO)/w(SiO2), content of MgO, CaF2 and FeO as well as the melting characteristics of binding phase were discussed. The results indicated that melting temperature was the lowest and melting time was the shortest at basicity 1.18; the melting temperature was the lowest and melting time was the shortest with the addition of 1.97%MgO. The melting temperature decreased and the melting time increased with increase in CaF2 or FeO contents.
