Study on Transformation Kinetics of Austenite toPearlite in Low Alloy Steel by DSC

Abstract��The transformation temperature and the transformation time of austenite to pearlite in low alloy steel at different cooling rates were measured by non��isothermal diferential scanning calorimetry (DSC) method, and the transformation activation energy of austenite to pearlite in low alloy steel was also calculated. It is indicated that with increasing in cooling rate,the phase transformation temperature and the phase transformation time decrease, and the activation energy of phase transformation decrease with increasing in transformation volume fraction of austenite to pearlite.
