Abstract��The effect of Laves phase on strength of P92 steel was investigated with chemical quantitative phase analysis technology and by means of optical microscope, XRD, SEM , TEM and conventional mechanical testing equipment. The results show that Laves phase nucleate at a high rate of speed in the process of ageing 100 h. With the increase of aging time, the content of Laves phase in steel increases gradually and can effectively enhance the room temperature and high temperature strength of P92 steel, improving W, Mo content and increasing the amount of Laves phase precipitation can significantly increase the creep rupture strength of P92 under 600 �� within 3 000 h.
