Abstract��Engineering, Yanshan University, Qinhuangdao 066004, Hebei, China)Comparison of the warm deformation stress changing quenching and annealing in medium carbon steel was studied using a Gleeble3500 simulation machine. The results show that critical temperature and critical strain make the flow stress of M equal to or lower than that of F+P structure. When strain rate() is 0.01 s-1 and the compression temperature is between 650 �� and 700 ��, the flow behavior of M and F+P structure is similar, and the working softening of M structure is always larger than that of F+P structure. Their �� - �� curves have point of intersection and the �� corresponding to the point is critical strain.
