Abstract��Based on the experimental results of thermal analysis on two types of pulverized coal combustion improver, the mechanism of improver��s contribution on combustion was discussed. It shows that the addition of improver will have significant effects on the pulverized coal, such as lower kindling point, higher exothermic ratio, and faster combustion. It also shows different effects on the two types of improver.
