Abstract��In-plane compression is an important aspect of material characterization. However, eccentricity must be controlled within a certain range in order to guarantee the validity and accuracy. In this article, the digital measuring system for in-plane compression testing of the fiber-reinforced plastic was discussed. Special fixture, AD620 instrumentation amplifiers and high accuracy and fast data acquisition board AMPCI-9101 in the system were used and a special software application was made. Experiments under the instruction where the eccentricity is below 0.1 were made, which is an achieved good result.
