Abstract��A new method of obtaining the critical temperature between different transitions in hypoeutectoid steel during continuous cooling was proposed. The conventional method was based on analyzing dilatometric curve, i.e., the critical temperature was obtained according to the stagger on the dilatometric curve. The new method was established on analyzing transition dynamic curve, i.e., the critical temperature was obtained according to the change of Avrami function exponent induced by the change of the new phase��s nucleating and growing process. Furthermore, the critical temperatures between the different stages of the self-same transition could be obtained by using the new method.
