Abstract��Based on the solidification thickness and computed magnetic field at stirrer position in continuous casting process, the stirring frequency was chosen and the optimal parameters was determined by means of the factory test. Such result can be obtained that the best frequency is 6 Hz when casting speed is between 1.0 and 1.1 m/min; the white bright band width increases with the rising of casting speed. Q235 slab center quality was significantly improved and the center segregation level was reduced after stirring parameters optimized.
