Abstract��Ring tensile test is a primary processing test for important structural steel pipes in the world. In order to establish an assessment system of ring tensile property, tests were carried out on steel pipe rings of different sizes and materials with a mould designed by ourselves. By means of analysis on tensile curves, an evaluation method on ring tensile test was put forward in which yield strength, tensile strength and elongation were evaluated. Meanwhile, stability of the test results was also analyzed. Results showed that the evaluation method founded was applicable for different steel pipes. Research findings will have an important significance for import and export of steel pipes.
