Abstract��To address the problem that plasticity index of 60Si2MnA hot-rolled round steel cannot meet the standard requirements during the test of mechanical properties, the fracture morphology of tensile sample after heat treatment were inspected and analyzed by means of metallographic microscope and scanning electron microscope(SEM) and Inspections were carried out on the chemical composition, macrostructure, non-metallic inclusion and microstructure of hot rolled state sample. The test results showed that the nonconformity of mechanical properties of spring steel bar was caused by the white defect in the center of hot rolled round.
