Abstract��To reduce losses of fracture separation of Q345B low alloy steel, microstructure and stress distribution are analyzed and discussed using optical microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM) and in-situ analyzer. The result indicates that: the internal reason of fracture separation is long strip sulfide and center segregation, however the stress in samples in tension test is the inducement of fracture; several countermeasures such as controlling sulfide, casting machine maintenance, slab slow cooling were put forward and remarkable result was obtained.
