AbstractIt was found by physical and chemical testing that, the yield strength of GH2132 alloy forgings used for an aircraft engine stator blade did not meet qualification requirements many times. To identify the reasons, the effects of ingredients, heat treatment, sampling locations, forging and supplementary aging on microstructure and properties were carried out. The main factors and technology procedures affecting the yield strength were found. Relative high mechanical properties can be obtained by applying an effective supplement aging treatment to unqualified forgings. As a result, the qualification rate of the yield strength of high grade GH2132 alloy blade forgings for one test is higher than 90%; unsatisfactory performance problems are completely solved, thereby reducing the costs and manufacturing time wasting caused by the repeating heat treatments and tests
