Abstract��To the problem of detection disqualification of 30Mn2V oil well pipe with ��73mm��5.51mm , the causes were analyzed by chemical analysis, macroscopic test, metallographic observation, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometry .Results show that chemical composition is in accordance with the requirements of petroleum pipe; on both inside and outside surface, the large long strip inclusions are found. Because of exposure of inclusions and metal continuity damaged, the folding, bulges and cracks are formed in the rolling process result in disqualification of oil pipe.
