Abstract��By analyzing the chemical composition, observing the fracture morphology and micnostructure as well as the fracture sample appearance, measuring the mechanical properties and comparing the force-displacement figures, the cause of fracture of HRB400 rebar can be confirmed that the tensely-straightening made the yield disappear, elongation and bending radius decrease that result in fracture during cold-bending process.
