AbstractThrough physical and chemical properties measurement, hydrogen induced cracking test, sulfide stress cracking test and tube process, hydrogen sulfide corrosion resistance of X65 grade LSAW pipe used in oil and gas transport was investigated. Results show that reasonable requirements of pipeline material resistance to H2S corrosion should be put forward based on steel chemical composition, mechanical properties, grain size, non-metallic inclusion and banded structure. At the same time, proper welding materials should be matched, such as the low residual stress of UOE tube technology to control the resistance to H2S.
