AbstractDuring the Q235B steel production of CSP process, the spot defects were founded on the strip surface. Through the EPMA, SEM, EDS and metallographic analysis combined with?the?CSP rolling process, the spot defects?formation of Q235B steel are comprehensively analyzed. The results show that: in the heating process, the higher carbon is easier to decarbonization in oxidizing atmosphere and produce CO and CO2, which cause blister on the surface of oxidation scale. It is difficult to remove in descaling process. In the rolling process, the blister is rolled and form spot defects.
