Discussion on Mechanical Properties Testing of X80 Submerged Arc Welding Wire Deposited Metal

Abstract��The new submerged arc welding wire of X80 were researched��which were based on the technological route of strengthening acicular ferrite with bainite and the development of X70 submerged-arc welding wire. The hardness of the the deposited metal was measured with Vicker��s indentation testing machine. The low temperature impact toughness of the deposited metal was measured with the shock testing machine. The tensile test of the deposited metal was measured with the testing machine. The microstructure of the deposited metal was observed with the graphic microscope. The fracture morphologies of the deposited metal was analysed with the SEM. The results show that welding deposited metal possesses high yield strength and good toughness([KV](��20 ��) ��151.5 J)��which meet the mechanic performance requirement for X80 welding pipe.
