AbstractIn order to explore the effect of cold deformation on the internal friction behavior of IF steel, tensile method was used to create different amount of deformation on IF steels, after which internal friction test was conducted and the effect of cold deformation on Snoek internal friction peak and SKK internal friction peak was analyzed. The results showed that, with the increase of deformation amount, the height of Snoek peak decreased, while the corresponding peak temperature kept almost constant; on the other hand, the height of SKK peak gradually increased, while the peak temperature decreased.
