Abstract��Baseline-correction was introduced in the investigation of crystallization kinetics of Fe78Si9B13 armorphous alloy with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Baseline-correction was applied to each DSC curve to reduce the effect of baseline on the accuracy of the peak-area and improve the accuracy of peak-area and crystallization fraction [a]. Based on the Kissinger equation the activation energy[(Ea)]of ��-Fe phase was calculated to be 362 kJ/mol and the corresponding kinetic exponent[n]was determined to be from 1.5 to 2.0. The results showed that the crystallization of Fe78Si9B13 armorphous alloy was a process of nucleation and growth of ��-Fe phase controlled by two-dimensional diffusion.
