Abstract��The brinell hardness test of aluminum ingot for quenching and tempering was conducted according to GB/T 231.1�D2009[Metallic materials-Brinell hardness test-Part 1:Test method.]The main influencing sources of uncertainty were analyzed. The measurement uncertainty of brinell hardness test was evaluated in detail according to the requirements of JJF�D1059.1�D2012[Evaluation and Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement.]The influencing factors such as the measurement error of impression diameter and the holding time of test force should be considered during the evaluation of uncertainty. The results showed that the brinell hardness of aluminum ingot for quenching and tempering was (196��3) HBW when the coverage probability[(p)]was 0.95 and the coverage factor[(k)]was 2.
