Abstract��The holes on 0Cr18Ni9 stainless steel pipe were researched by chemical composition analysis�� metallurgical test and scanning electron microscope analysis. The results show that flakes of Mo stick on the inner-wall of pipe�� there are some defects such as band segregation�� D type inclusions�� heat stress�� deformation stress and so on. The passive film is damaged by medium within Cl�� so that many holes exist on the pipeline and water leaked.
