Abstract��Direct reading spectrometer and optical microscope were applied to observe and test the macro morphology�� chemical composition�� metallographic structure and nonmetallic inclusion of the fracture on 82B wire rod. In addition�� with the aid of scanning electron microscopy�� micro-fracture surface morphology observation and micro elements analysis were conducted on the fracture. It was found the main reasons behind the stretching fracture of 82B wire rod were caused by central network cementite and large particle brittle inclusion.
