Abstract��The Youden chart is an effective tool for the analysis of laboratory proficiency testing results. It can intuitively reflect the deviation of laboratory data and judge the property of data deviation. However�� the commercial statistics software does not include the function to plot Youden chart�� which limits the application of Youden chart in proficiency testing schemes. A method to plot Youden chart was proposed based on the idea derived from National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) in Austria. The satisfactory Youden chart was obtained using VBA programming in Excel. This study could facilitate the use of Youden chart analysis in proficiency testing activities.
