Abstract��The concept�� source�� description method�� application field of measurement uncertainty and uncertainty principle were analyzed�� both of the differences and dialectical relationship were described. The results showed that the measurement uncertainty was the dispersive parameters which described the measured results in measurement statistics(including test and calibration results). Uncertainty principle was derived from wave particle?duality of microscopic particles. It was essential?attribute of microscopic particles which had nothing to do with the measurement process. They were different concepts entirely and should not be confused.
